I was lucky enough to teach at a Title One school in Florida where we all had a document camera and projector in our classroom. Last year I moved to NC and begged the principal at every meeting for a document camera--after 158 days I finally got one--the only problem now--- all the other teachers have seen how amazing it is and want to use it too!
It is an amazing tool in the classroom and a HUGE money saver when it comes to transparencies and copy paper! I use it everyday in every subject! I find it to be especially motivating in writing--the kids beg to share their pieces under the camera and while they are sharing I am assessing their conventions! LOVE IT!!!! but I need my own we have over 100 teachers at my school and only two document cameras!
