I'm sure everyone is tired of my comments, but I'm having great fun with these pens, and can't WAIT to get a lesson put together to use them with the kids!!

That said - today was a teacher workday for us, and I spent most of the morning just playing around in the software seeing what all I could do. I'm working now at learning how to insert video, pictures, etc. into the project. I think once I get that down, I'll be ready to move on to the group response feature.

I had a friend come by to visit this afternoon, and she wanted to know what the pens were for... so I let her be a "student" and showed her how they worked. She's a former teacher and she thought they would have been a great addition to her classroom. I'm really excited about getting the kids familiar with using them, and working on some lesson projects over the summer!

Saturday I was at school with a friend, showing her the pens... and accidentally clicked on "Transparency Mode" - had NO idea how I got there... but was cool, and we played around in that for a while... today I finally figured out what I did - was going from split screen to single screen and accidentally clicked the wrong button and got transparency (they're near each other)... glad I figured it out, because it was handy for demonstrating where to go today in computer.. :)

I used my entire budget for the year to buy them... but they are so worth it! I'm still learning, but I hope to have lessons created and kids interacting soon!

Also, they were not nearly as expensive as getting a SmartBoard or a Mobi... we got the classpack from our local retailer for under $1000.00. We had several schools who decided to use their stimulus money to purchase them... I think, at the moment, we have about 5 or 6 sets in the district.
